Bringing a Culinary Tradition to Life
These ads were designed for La Cornue cooking ranges—products that celebrate the storied tradition of French cooking. According to La Cornue, this began in 1908 when company founder Albert Dupuy showcased the world’s first convection oven. The ranges themselves are highly crafted, refined works of art. My intent was to avoid the typical imagery found in the home design magazines where these ads would run. The whimsical juxtaposition is unexpected and injects a little humor into an otherwise stuffy product category.
