An Interactive Guide to Urban Parks
The North Face, in partnership with The Trust for Public Lands, sought a way to engage their audience online in order to get them offline to explore their local parks and recreation areas. This interactive urban nature guide lived on the now defunct Planet Explore website and accompanied a printed map that was available at The North Face stores. It covered four metropolitan areas – San Francisco, Denver, Washington D.C. and New York City. The guide presented users with descriptions, local weather conditions, photos, activities, and directions to over 40 parks and urban green spaces.
